Bruschetta Recipe
Bruschetta is easy to make is served as an appetizer before meals, as a snack, or as a great finger food for party guests. It is traditionally served on toasted bread, however can also be served on crackers.
Ingredients
«»1 red onion diced.
«»2 tomatoes, diced.
«»1/4 tsp. basil (herb).
«»1 tbsp. pepper.
«»Salt to taste.
«»Black pepper to taste (optional).
«»1 Baguette (French bread).
«»1 clove garlic peeled & halved.
«»1 tsp. olive oil.

Method
Put onion, tomatoes, basil, in a bowl and mix well. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Cover and keep at room temperature tossing occasionally for at least an hour ahead to serving to allow flavours to blend.

Slice baguette and brush with olive oil. Put bread in the oven and toast until golden brown. (Don’t burn it!) Remove bread from oven and immediately rub with the halved garlic clove. Lay out toasted bread or crackers and place about a tablespoon of bruschetta on each.
Serve immediately..
