It might surprise you to know that your brain has a kind of clock in it. This keeps things ticking over every day. As humans, we prefer to sleep at night and be up during the day. This isn’t due to habit or work schedules or convenience. It is driven by the body clock. Even if we don’t know what time it is, we still do things in cycles that go for about 24 hours. We sleep for part of every 24 hours and our body temperature rises and falls with a cycle length of about 24 hours. We have hormones and other systems in our body that go through this daily cycle as well. Exactly the same pattern is seen in almost every living thing on the planet. They all have some kind of clock that controls when they do things. The daily rhythms are known as circadian rhythms. Our health and well-being depends on this ticking all the time. This also needs to tick at the same time as everything around us. This is called being ‘synchronized’.
How your body clock cycle works
LUNGS REPAIR & MAINTENANCE TIME: 3-5 A.M.
The toxic waste from your lungs becomes loosened between 3-5 am. Drink warm
Jeera/Ajwain water & walk. Do meditation & some breathe exercise.
LARGE INTESTINE REPAIRS& MAINTENANCE TIME: 5-7 A.M.
Drinking plenty water & defecating between 5-7 repairs colon. Sleeping in this period can lead to constipation & other health issues.
STOMACH REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE TIME: 7-9 A.M.
Stomach energies are the highest at this time, do not take big meals.
SPLEEN/PANCREAS REPAIR & MAINTENANCE TIME: 9-11 A.M.
The spleen gets cleaned. Digestive fire is at peak at this time . Ideal time to have main meal.
HEART REPAIR & MAINTENANCE TIME: 11-1 P.M.
Food materials enter the blood stream. The heart pumps nutrients throughout the system & takes its lipid requirement.
SMALL INTESTINE REPAIR & MAINTENANCE TIME: 1-3 P.M.
Foods requiring longer digestion times (Protein complete their digestion/ assimilation).
BLADDER REPAIR & MAINTENANCE TIME: 3-5 P.M.
- Metabolic wastes from morning's nutrition intake clear, making room for the kidney's filtration to come.
- 5-7 P.M. Filters blood maintains proper chemical balance of blood based on nutritional intake of day. Blood to deliver usable nutrients to all tissues.
- 7-9 P.M. Nutrients are carried to groups of cells ( Capillaries ) & to each individual cell (Lymphatics). Taking sweets in this period causes low back pain.
BLOOD VESSELS REPAIR & MAINTENANCE TIME: 9-11 P.M.
The blood vessels go into repair mode. If you get headaches, feel abnormally tired or weak, this means that the blood vessels are in heavy in repair.
CLEANING OF TISSUES: 11-1 A.M.
Initial cleaning of all tissues, processes cholesterol, enhances brain function. Remaining awake in this period imbalances Pitta dosha, causes headache, insomnia, Eye Issues, Fast Ageing.
LIVER REPAIR & MAINTENANCE TIME: 1-3 A.M.
Cleansing of blood, processing of wastes, Sleep sound in this period or else digestive system goes worse.
