People at high risk for eye diseases should be examined more often. For example, adults with diabetes should have yearly exams. People with a family history of eye disease and those with a history of eye injury should also get checked often.

- You squint to see things.
- Objects look blurry.
- You need to hold things far away or very close to your face to read them.
