Easy Banana Bread Recipe

Moist, rich, and delicious, banana bread is great for breakfast, snack, or dessert.

PREP TIME: 10 MINUTES
COOK TIME: 65 MINUTES
MAKES: 1 LOAF

INGREDIENTS

⭄2 cups all-purpose flour
⭄¹/₂ cup brown sugar
⭄¹/₂ cup white sugar
⭄1 teaspoon baking soda
⭄¹/₂ teaspoon salt
⭄¹/₂ teaspoon ground cinnamon
⭄1 cup mashed banana
⭄¹/₃ cup buttermilk
⭄¹/₂ cup vegetable oil
⭄1 teaspoon vanilla essence
⭄2 eggs

DIRECTIONS

In a large Bowl mix in all your dry ingredients (flour, sugars, salt, cinnamon, baking soda)

In a separate bowl mix in all your wet ingredients (Bananas, oil, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla essence)

(If you don’t have buttermilk, mix in one part sour cream with one part milk.Another way is to mix in a teaspoon of lemon juice into one cup milk and let it sit for 5 minutes. Also, ou can water down natural yogurt and use it for this recipe)

Gently mix in your wet Ingredients into your dry ingredients until consistent and no dry ingredients are visible. Do not over mix, then pour your batter into a greased bread tin.

Put this in a preheated oven any 165℃ and bake for 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted inside comes out clean.Take it out when done

Let it cool down for 10 to 15 minutes in the tin then take it out of the tin, this will help it not fall apart

Note: This is a very tasty banana bread but the cooking time is far too long. I was lucky enough to catch mine in time after 1hr 15 minutes. It was overdone on the top but completely cooked through. I'd go as far as to say an hour is long enough cooking time.
