DEEP FRIED PORK IN SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE

I learned this recipe from my mom and I still love it! While it does take some time to make, the outcome is just as good as take-out! You will need a  frying pan with oil in order to fry the meat. Put enough oil in the frying pan so that the meat can float to the top.

DEEP FRIED PORK IN SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE
INGREDIENTS:
300 gram pork meat
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons white vinegar
60 gram sugar
100 gram corn flour
1 egg
Salt, pepper

DIRECTIONS
Mix ketchup with sugar and vinegar plus 2 tablespoons water.
Clean pork and slice into medium pieces, marinate with a little salt and pepper, wait 15 minutes. Pour corn flour into clean bowl, add egg and 2 tablespoons water. Use spoon to stir well until this mixture becomes smooth and soft.
Coat the sliced pork pieces one by one with the corn flour mixture. Heat the oil (make sure it will cover all pork when frying). Add pork and deep fry with low heat until they turn brown yellow. Put on plate added paper napkin to absorb oil.
Pour ketchup mixture into another pan, use a wooden spoon to stir well until it starts boiling. Then, add the fried pork into the pan and continue frying for about 3 - 5 minutes, Then turn off the heat.

Pour on plate, sprinkle some black pepper and some sliced spring onion to garnish. Can be served with deep fried potatoes, mashed potatoes or rice. Enjoy!
